Money Lab

Checklist for Financial Freedom

By Terry (Terje) Nordkvelle — terjenordkvelle.com

This checklist is your key to manifesting money. Follow the steps carefully and do the work. It takes no more than one hour in total, but I recommend doing one step per day to let it sink in.

Inside Money Lab, we do something unusual, we never manifest a specific amount of money.

Instead of trying to picture exact numbers, we simply say: “This or something even better, in the best interest of all.”

By keeping it open, we invite co-creation. Our inner critic can’t block what it doesn’t fully understand, and the universe can surprise us with solutions we never imagined.

That’s when manifesting turns into a partnership, and the results often show up in far more creative and joyful ways than we could have planned.

Meet Sasha

First, let me tell you about Sasha, a woman I noticed one afternoon at a café in Ubud, Bali.

She was walking down the street slowly, head held high, calm and confident. She had a friendly smile, a graceful presence, and wore a wide hat that shaded her from the hot sun.

Sasha is the kind of person who goes to job interviews or dates not to get something, but to see if it’s the right fit.

She orders food in restaurants, but if she doesn’t like it, she leaves it on the plate without guilt or drama. She’s kind, but she knows when to move on.

Sasha likes herself, not in an arrogant way, but in a genuinely self-loving way. She treats herself as she would treat a good friend. When she makes mistakes, she learns, and moves forward.

Sasha manifests money easily because she’s not in conflict with it.

You will still be you, but using Sasha's level of self love and perspectives as inspiration, is a very good idea.

Repeat?

You can repeat step 1, the money talk as often as you like, even turn it into a friendly daily conversation.

The two Speak Ups, however, should not be repeated. If you want, you can say something like, “Thank you for working on the solution” or “Thank you for working on my insight,” but avoid “nagging” the universe about when it’s coming. Step 4, spending money, should be used every all the time;-)

STEP 1: Change Your Relationship With Money

Have a heart-to-heart talk with money.

Sit down, focus, and speak honestly from your heart about how you’ve felt in this relationship. Be angry if you need to. Then tell money that you want to leave the past behind and move forward together as partners. Yes, it might feel a little silly, never mind that, it is an important step.

Think of it as clearing up a conflict with an old friend.

STOP: Being in conflict with money
START: Seeing money as a friendly partner

Listen to audio that explains this important step here:

STEP 2: Learn the Lesson

Ask yourself: What have I learned from having money problems?

The answer is often about self-esteem, self-worth, or not trusting life’s abundance.
For others, it’s about staying stuck in victim mode or complaining too much.

When we identify that money problems also has been helping us to grow as humans and souls, it is much easier to move on. (And it might remove blocks.)

STOP: Going around in circles
START: Be grateful for the lesson and move on

STEP 3: Speak Up for Money (Part 1)

  1. Ground yourself. Take three deep breaths, inhaling calm and exhaling tension.

  2. Connect to your heart by thinking of something that makes you smile.

  3. Raise your head. Look up.

  4. Speak these words with confidence:  “My dear guide inside, my intention is that I am experiencing a solution to my financial problems. I ask for this or something even better, and that this happens in the best interest of all. Thank you for helping me with this. Thy will be done.”

Now ask yourself: I wonder what it would feel like to experience this solution?

Stay with that feeling for about 90 seconds. Don’t try to convince yourself that you already have it. Your inner critic might show up if you do that. It can not stop you if you just ask the question "I wonder what it would feel like..."

Remember, your imagination is limited, what shows up might be so much better than what you can imagine. That’s why we say, “this or something even better.”

You don’t need to be spiritual or even believe in anything for this to work.

STOP: Trying to manifest alone
START: Partner with your guide inside

STEP 4: Spend Money

Spend your money on food, items, and experiences that are truly good for you and that you actually want.

You don’t need to spend more, just spend with care and self-respect, like Sasha would.

STOP: Only looking at price
START: When buying something, ask yourself, Does this add value to my life?

STEP 5: Speak Up for Money (Part 2)

  1. Ground yourself again. Three deep breaths. Calm in, tension out.

  2. Connect to your heart. Think of something that makes you smile.

  3. Raise your head. Look up.

  4. Speak these words with confidence:

“My dear guide inside, my intention is that I am receiving insight into how I can make more money. I ask for this or something even better, and that this happens in the best interest of all. Thank you for helping me with this. Thy will be done.”

In the first Speak Up, you asked for an outer solution, something that could happen in the world.
In this second one, you’re asking for an inner idea, something you can do yourself to create more income.

Then, forget you asked. The answer will “pop in” as an idea when you least expect it. Follow that guidance.

STOP: Trying to figure out how to make more money
START: Ask for insight, and take action only on inspired ideas

These are the exact steps I took to move from lack to abundance.

Let go of the story that you’re a poor person with money problems.

You are part of Source, a soul observing the experiences that happen to you.

Here’s the short version:
Be inspired by Sasha. Intend. Ask. Let go.
And then, watch the shiow.
